Always the first sign of spring in my yard. Crocuses waiting on a little sunshine to open. They got snowed on instead Sunday night.
My favorite place is outside the Shedd Aquarium. I spend time inside the Shedd then find a quiet spot outside to capture the water and the skyline.
The story is about the irresistible allure of a suds machine for both children and adults. Would you watch or walk through it?
Jellies at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago or perhaps not?
Photo taken outside of a hospital. One can only imagine what he is thinking or feeling.
This is my second favorite sweet, a slice of whipped cream cake. My first is the banana whipped cream pie made by my mother. Since the Swedish Bakery closed last year, finding a slice is difficult.
The tour is all about the quiet spaces that you can find in the big city of Chicago and when you can find them. There is Daley Plaza. It gets transformed depending on the season. Today is a quiet day in June. But in October they turn the fountain water orange for Halloween and there’s a Halloween House. At Christmas there is a tree and the fountain is lit with white lights. Lake Michigan is busy in summer and quiet in winter, but always a beautiful sight. This is a day in September. Finally, a short walk west of Navy Pier and you find this little tree-lined area. The Lake is on the left and in front of you. There are benches in spots for you to stop and sit. It’s September.
