2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.  Considering I didn’t start until mid-July, I did well.

Here’s an excerpt:

The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner can carry about 250 passengers. This blog was viewed about 1,800 times in 2012. If it were a Dreamliner, it would take about 7 trips to carry that many people.

A Christmas Wish

This is the Christmas card that I sent to those individuals whose path I’ve crossed and stayed in touch with over the years.  I am sending this card to all of you who visit and look at my posts over the next 2 or 3 days.  Sometimes it’s not about the fact that someone likes your post, but rather that they took time to come and see what you are about.

To make this card, I took a picture of one of the ornaments from  a Christmas tree at the Museum of Science and Industry‘s annual “Christmas Around the World Exhibit” here in Chicago. There is a 45 foot tree with over  30,000 lights and 1000 ornaments.  Then there are 50 smaller decorated trees representing different countries/cultures.  My ornament is from a tree representing the Ukraine.
