The tour is all about the quiet spaces that you can find in the big city of Chicago and when you can find them. There is Daley Plaza. It gets transformed depending on the season. Today is a quiet day in June. But in October they turn the fountain water orange for Halloween and there’s a Halloween House. At Christmas there is a tree and the fountain is lit with white lights. Lake Michigan is busy in summer and quiet in winter, but always a beautiful sight. This is a day in September. Finally, a short walk west of Navy Pier and you find this little tree-lined area. The Lake is on the left and in front of you. There are benches in spots for you to stop and sit. It’s September.
My favorite because I took it looking out my 3rd floor window.
Water, trees, blue sky, clouds rolling in plus concrete and steel.
In the midst of the blooming tree, there sits a little red bird.
The State of Mind when I shot this photo was calm. I was out with a friend and we were walking along the lake. It was the beginning of fall. There was no wind – a very calm relaxing day.
