This is a view from the walkway between the Shedd Aquarium and the Adler Planetarium looking north with Navy Pier in the distance. Anywhere along the lake front is my “place in the world”.
Jellies at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago or perhaps not?
The tour is all about the quiet spaces that you can find in the big city of Chicago and when you can find them. There is Daley Plaza. It gets transformed depending on the season. Today is a quiet day in June. But in October they turn the fountain water orange for Halloween and there’s a Halloween House. At Christmas there is a tree and the fountain is lit with white lights. Lake Michigan is busy in summer and quiet in winter, but always a beautiful sight. This is a day in September. Finally, a short walk west of Navy Pier and you find this little tree-lined area. The Lake is on the left and in front of you. There are benches in spots for you to stop and sit. It’s September.
I replaced the sky using one of my photos and Photoshop. I then used Topaz software to give it a vintage look.
Water, trees, blue sky, clouds rolling in plus concrete and steel.
